MISSION STATEMENT. Fairfax Tomorrow is an initiative of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce. We seek to bring together business groups, non-profit organizations, environmental advocates, neighborhood associations and others to manage the growth coming to Fairfax County. We seek to protect the residential character of existing neighborhoods, preserve Fairfax's greenspace and sustain the county's healthy economy. Fairfax Tomorrow will accomplish these goals by utilizing transit-oriented development as the primary strategy for managing growth in Fairfax County.
FARIFAX TOMORROW IS FOCUSED ON PROMOTING TOD in Fairfax through grassroots efforts of citizens dedicated to creating a better tomorrow for Fairfax County. The initiative focuses on a wide range of different mechanisms to gain support and establish success. This will be done through reaching out to other groups, turning out community and business members to public hearings, speaking at public hearings and educating the public about this important issue.
THE GOAL OF THIS GRASSROOTS initiative is to make Fairfax County not only a better place to live, but also a more accessible place for all to enjoy. Further, Fairfax Tomorrow strives to help promote the interests of this community, while also preserving the current character of the surrounding neighborhoods and greenspace |
